The highlight reel
I'll look forward to showing off your new stuff here!
Kitchen Tile
This kitchen was long overdue for an upgrade. Tearing back the layers of flooring was like taking a tour through the fads of the past. By the time I reached the bottom layer we were well into the 1960's! After installing the new high polish 12 x 24s on the floor and this beautiful mosaic tile on the back splash, this looks like a whole new place!
Bathroom Remodel
This vintage bathroom was complete with pink tile set on 2" floated concrete and a cast iron tub which I managed to remove without cutting or breaking it apart. The client had a clear vision of what they wanted aesthetically and I was excited to bring their vision to life. We went with the black-on-black hexagonal mosaic tile for the back wall and I cut miters for the full width niche with color matched epoxy. Paired with the 8" hexagon floor and contrasted with the matte finished marble 12" x 24" on the sides, this room is refitted with a modern, elegant look that will last a lifetime.
For waterproofing I used the Schluter system which carries a lifetime warranty.
Custom Bar
This custom work of art was definitely my favorite project to date. The owner contacted me with a short time frame and very little design information. After sharing some images back and forth over the weekend, we were able to settle on a few main themes and I was able to start building on some main ideas. The end result surpassed all of their expectations and I couldn't be more pleased with how beautifully it turned out!
Upgrades
kitchen remodel
This kitchen got a total reset. the further I got into the demo, the more issues I uncovered. After removing the floor, I discovered that the floor joists were literally in the dirt so ended up removing about two cubic yards of earth to create eighteen inches of space between the dirt and the joists. The exterior wall was also rotted out due to a leaking window, so I replaced the framing and installed a new window and isulation before closing it in.
After that it was on to the fun part of installing brand new shaker cabinets and butcher block countertops. I'm very happy with the way the new bar seating turned out!
Black Beauty
This bathroom was a full tear out. The water damage from the previous shower system was extensive. I reframed the walls and found extra space to widen the shower and to create a nook for the vanity. Now it's the kind of space that makes you look forward to using it. See the photos below for the highlights.
